Holotype male in NMSA (not seen).

Diagnosis. Arista short-haired, the longest hairs not longer than the width of postpedicel; dorsocentrals 2+4; katepisternals 1+2; fore tibia without a median seta; mid femur with 1 preapical seta; mid tibia with 2 posterior setae; sternite 1 bare.

Notes. This runs to couplet 23 and to L. obsignata in Emden’s (1951) key, but differs by the absence of brown marks on abdominal tergite 5 and by the more grey dusted scutum.
