Limnophora triangularis Couri, Pont & Penny, 2006: 853 .
Holotype female in CAS.
Diagnosis. Ocellar triangle cut off abruptly; scutum with a pair of presutural spots running along the dorsocentral rows of setae and reaching the second pair of presutural dorsocentrals; mid femur with two posterior preapical setae; mid tibia with two posterior setae on middle third.
Notes. Described from Madagascar and known only from the female. Ovipositor and spermatheca illustrated by Couri et al. (2006: Fig. 99). The species runs to L. excisa at couplet 32 of Emden’s key, and Couri et al. (2006) gave the following key couplet to separate the two species:

- Ocellar triangle normal, reaching at least halfway from front ocellus to lunule; fronto-orbital plate silvery, brownish only around middle; mid femur with 1 preapical posterior seta; scutellum black only along base, grey on sides; black abdominal spots smaller, those on tergites 3 and 4 not reaching fore margin of the tergites...............................
