Diagnosis. Arista with short hairs; postsutural dorsocentrals 3; fore tibia without a posterior median seta; mid femur with 2 preapical setae; mid tibia with 2 posterior setae; hind tibia with with one median anterodorsal and 1 smaller anteroventral beyond it; lower katepisternal seta closer to the posterior than to the anterior one. Cercal plate and surstylus as in Zielke (1971a: Fig. 1).

Notes. This runs to couplet 28(43) in Emden’s (1951) key, but differs by the combination of 3 postsutural dorsocentrals, mid tibia without anterodorsal seta, and aristal hairs not as long as width of postpedicel.
