Limnophora antennalis Couri & Pont, 2014: 312 .
Holotype male in BMSA. Series of paratype males and females seen during this study.
Diagnosis. Two pairs of reclinate oribital setae; acrostichal setulae in two rows; postsutural dorsocentrals 3; postpedicel very long, reaching mouth-margin; lower katepisternal seta about twice as distant from the anterior as from the posterior one; mid femur with 1 posterior preapical seta; mid tibia with 2 posterior setae.
Notes. This runs in Emden’s (1951) key to couplet 5 and can be differentiated from L. praeapicalis by the unusually long upper posterior katepisternal and inner postalar setae combined with a virtually bare arista. Male and female terminalia illustrated by Couri & Pont (2014: Figs 26–31).
