Holotype male seen; abdomen glued to a slip of card and pinned with the specimen.

Diagnosis. Medium-sized species (3.7 mm); general colour brown; scutum and scutellum a little shining; postpronotum, notopleuron, area before scutellum and base of scutellum grey pollinose; scutum with three brown presutural vittae and a broad brown transverse band behind suture; all pleura with grey pollinosity; frons brown; fronto-orbital plate, face and parafacial silver pollinose; antenna, arista and palpus brown; haltere brown; legs light brown, coxae with some grey pollinosity, stronger on fore coxa; 1 pair of orbital setae, directed backwards and outwards; frontal triangle short; arista with short hairs; acrostichal setulae in 3–4 rows; postsutural dorsocentrals 3; scutellum with long basal and apical pairs of setae; lower katepisternal short and inserted closer to the long posterior one; lower calypter about twice the length of the upper one; both calypters with margin and fringe yellowish; fore tibia enlarged and flattened apicad and without a submedian seta; mid femur with 1 posterior preapical seta; mid tibia with 1 posterior seta; sternite 1 bare.

Notes. Known only from the male holotype.
