Holotype male seen; in good condition.

Diagnosis. Body length 5–6 mm; general colour brown with grey pollinosity, scutum presuturally with two large brown spots, postsuturally with a large dark brown transverse band; scutellum with a large dark brown transverse band; postpronotum, notopleuron, and all pleura grey pollinose; frons dark brown; fronto-orbital plate, face and parafacial silver pollinose in certain lights; antenna, arista and palpus brown; haltere pale yellow; legs brown, coxae with grey pollinosity; frons of male narrower than in female; 2 pairs of orbital setae, directed backwards and outwards; frontal triangle short; arista with short hairs; acrostichal setulae in 4 irregular rows; postsutural dorsocentrals 4, the two first pairs long, only a little shorter than the third pair; lower katepisternal seta inserted closer to the posterior one; lower calypter about twice the length of the upper one; fore tibia without a submedian seta; mid femur with 2 posterior preapical setae; mid tibia with 2 posterior setae; sternite 1 bare.

Notes. Known only from the male holotype.
