Type:— SOUTH AFRICA. Likely Eastern Cape Province, Katrivier near Philipstown, Ecklon & Zeyher 1953 (lectotype S S-G-10758!; isolectotype SAM SAM0036022 -0! pro parte) designated by Tölken (1985: 69) .
