Diagnosis. This species resembles L. taiwanensis in the wing color pattern (Fig. 1 C, D), but can be distinguished from the latter by having the scutellum brown (Fig. 3 E) and nearly black abdominal tergites (Fig. 4 M); see under that species.

Description. Male and female: Frons yellow to yellowish brown. Pedicel mostly yellowish brown; first flagellomere yellow. Mesonotum brownish yellow (Fig. 3 E). Acrostichal setulae in ca. 16 irregular rows (Fig. 3 E). Postpronotal lobe yellow (Fig. 3 F). Pleura yellow, with brown patches (Fig. 3 F). Halter yellow basally, white distally (Fig. 3 F). Male terminalia: Epandrium with 12 setae near posterior margin and ventral corner per side (Fig. 10 A). Paramere with 6 sensilla medially (Fig. 10 B). Aedeagus with pubescence on distal 1/5 (Fig. 10 B).

Measurements. BL = 2.53–2.93 mm in 5♂, 2.40–2.67 mm in 2♀, ThL = 1.13–1.27 mm in ♂, 1.00– 1.40 mm in ♀, WL = 2.40–2.73 mm in ♂, 2.40–2.87 mm in ♀, WW = 0.93–1.00 mm in ♂, 0.87–1.07 mm in ♀, arb = 6–6/2– 3,avd = 0.67–1.50, adf = 1.25–2.50, flw = 1.50–3.50, FW/HW = 0.33–0.45, ch/o = 0.04–0.07, prorb = 0.58–1.33, rcorb = 0.56–1.17, vb = 0.33–0.50, dcl = 0.41–0.60, presctl = 0.47–0.89, sctl = 1.17–1.45, sterno = 0.60–0.80, orbito = 1.33–2.50, dcp = 0.17–0.21, sctlp = 0.71–1.00, C = 2.12–2.82, 4c = 0.85–1.55, 4v =1.30–2.72, 5x = 0.75– 2.20, ac = 1.88–2.83, M = 0.30–1.00, C3F = 0.71–0.82.
