Remarks. This new genus resembles Aphlugiolopsis Wang, Liu & Li, 2015, but differs in: male tenth abdominal tergite extended backwards, posterior margin with a notch in the middle, ventral surface of subapical area with a posterior process; and from Pseudothaumaspis Gorochov, 1998 in: male genitalia sclerotized, with a large sclerite; from females of the two genera in: subgenital plate with 1 slender and long lateral process on dorso-lateral surface at the base respectively.

Etymology. The name of the new genus is derived from abbreviation of Hunan province “ xiang ”, and the scientific name for Thaumaspis .
