Tetranychus marianae McGregor
Tetranychus marianae McGregor, 1950: 291 .
A new record from India. This species was reported from several Asian countries viz., Philippines, Vietnam and Thailand where it was recorded on the same host plant species of Centrosema pubescens by Baker (1975). This species belong to the 9th group of species sensu Flechtmann and Knihinicki (2002), with a tiny or absent dorsomedian spur of the empodium of the female.
Specimens examined. 5 females and 6 males on C. pubescens, Kukke Subramanya, Dakshina Kannada Dist., south India, November 2014, coll. Mahran Zeity (AINP1628).
