Record: Dohuk (Ahmed & Ahmed 2012 [sub Plexippus paykulli (Audouin, 1826); see “Comment”]; Fomichev et al. 2018).

Distribution: Greece, Turkey, Iraq, Iran.

Comment: The record of P. paykulli from Iraq by Ahmed & Ahmed (2012) is herein attributed to E. insularis . The photo of the epigyne provided in that publication perfectly matches that provided for this species by Schäfer & Breitling (2018).
