Syntypes: 11 specimens fromALGERIA, M’Sila Province, Bou Saada.2M(ZMUC00046884), F(ZMUC00046885), 2 F (ZMUC00046886), plus 2 specimens (ZMUC00046887), in alcohol; 3 specimens (MNHN), “5551 E. Simon number”, in alcohol; 1 specimen (MNHN), on slide 1I11 .

Distribution: Bou Saada (Algeria), Peloponeso, Corfu, Kassos, Karpathos and Rhodes (Greece).

Notes: Despite the 30 specimens cited by With (1902), Grandjean (1936) indicates 12 specimens in the E. Simon collection, deposited at the MNHN (we checked 4 specimens). Besides, we found some of the type material deposited at ZMUC (we checked 7 specimens).

Etymology: Due the segmented idiosoma.
