Remarks. Hyles nicaea subsp. lathyrus is found in northeastern Afghanistan, northern Pakistan, northwest India and China (Xizang/Tibet) (Pittaway & Kitching, 2013). Other subspecies occur in Central Asia, the Middle East, the Mediterranean area and North Africa.
