Distribution. Brazil (Acre, Amazonas, Pará, Rondônia, Roraima), French Guiana (Mitaraka), Panama (Cerro Galera, Gamboa), Peru (Madre de Dios).

Remarks. This is the first time that P. souzalopesi is recorded in French Guiana. Pictures of the holotype male housed at the USNM were obtained through the courtesy of Dr. Jung W. Kim.
