Pachyanthidium subgenus Ausanthidium Pasteels

Ausanthidium Pasteels, 1969: 60 . Type species: Anthidiellum ausense Mavromoustakis, 1934, original designation.

Diagnosis. Differs from all other subgenera by the combination of eyes naked, preoccipital carina absent laterally, and arolia present on all legs. In females the mandible is four-toothed. This monotypic subgenus is endemic to the Afrotropics.
