Stomias boa (Risso, 1810)

Esox boa Risso, 1810: 330, Pl. 10, fig. 34. Type locality: Nice, Mediterranean coast of France. Stomias boa, Klausewitz, 1989: 254; Galil & Goren, 1994: 48; Goren & Galil, 1997: 201.

Distribution. Circumglobal; depth range 200–1500 m. Klausewitz (1989) reported the species from a depth of 2173 m off SE Crete.
