Diagnosis. This species can be distinguished from all other Neotropical Xanthopimpla by the combination of the following characters: 1) occipital carina complete dorsally; 2) propodeum with posterior transverse carina strongly angulate; 3) ovipositor sheath about 0.55 to 0.75 times as long as hind tibia; and 4) fore wing strongly infumate apically.

Notes. The species is recorded from the first time outside of Brazil.
