Subgenus Ectemnostega (Ectemnostegella) Lundblad, 1928

Note. Bachmann (1979) and Bachmann (1981) mentioned having specimens from Chile that could be representatives of Ectemnostega (Ectemnostegella) quechua (Bachmann 1961), but expressed doubts about their identity. Later, Morrone et al. (2004) did not include Chile in the distribution range of E. (E.) quechua, a decision that is followed here.
