Atractides incertus substriatus Lundblad, 1969

Remarks. Lundblad (1969) described A. substriatus based on a single male specimen from the locus typicus of A. incertus . It was published as a ‘forma’ of the nominate taxon after the publication of the new edition of the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature in 1961. As compared with A. incertus, Lundblad (1969), in his original description considered the presence of a lineated (”deutlich liniiert”) integument in A. substriatus as diagnostic feature. There is no reason to support the assignment of this taxon as subspecies of A. incertus . The variability of further specimens needs to be examined to clarify the taxonomy of this species.
