General distribution. Boreo-montane species distributed in northern half of Europe and major part of Palaearctic Asia (Jansson 1986, 1995; Kanyukova et al. 2002; Grandova 2014a; Shapovalov et al. 2019).

Remarks. The record by Davideanu et al. (2000) refers to the same 6 males and 6 females collected in Podu Iloaiei, IaȘi County by Davideanu (1999). The occurrence of C. bonsdorffii in Romania requires further confirmation. In Romania, this species is known only from the northeastern part of the country (Fig. 2).
