Generic diagnosis. Male pronotum obviously protruding caudad, metazona distinctly raised, lateral lobe after posterior transversal sulcus extended; female pronotum short, metazona flat. Fore tibial tympana open on both sides; hind tibiae with 1 pair of dorsal apical spurs and 2 pairs of ventral apical spurs. Male tegmina short, hidden under pronotum; female tegmina reduced; hind wings absent. Male 10th abdominal tergite projecting caudad, the middle of apical area split or with a notch; epiproct absent. Genitalia sclerotized, stout and elongate, reaching or surpassing posterior margin of subgenital plate. Female 9th abdominal tergite arc-shaped concave on posterior margin and lateral margins prolonged posteriorly; dorsal and ventral margins of ovipositor smooth.
