Cypridea ellipsoidea Krömmelbein & Weber, 1971

1971 Cypridea ellipsoidea n. sp. —Krömmelbein & Weber, p. 15–16, pl. 1, fig. 6.

Diagnosis: A more or less medium-sized species of Cypridea (carapace length around 0.88mm) with strongly rounded, approximately trapeziform lateral outline and a slightly irregularly egg-shaped dorsal outline of the carapace. Rostrum pointed, fairly strongly bent inwards, not extending beyond the ventral margin. The whole valve surface covered with very fine pore-dimples.

Holotype: Carapace, BfB 7774.

Paratypes: Several carapaces, not figured, BfB 7775.

Dimensions: Holotype, length 0.88mm, height 0.54mm, width 0.50mm.
