Diagnosis: A small Cypridea species with the following peculiarities: carapace in lateral outline approximately egg-shaped, strongly narrowing towards the posterior. Posterior cardinal angle not well formed, and (in the case of the smaller left valve) at best hinted at. Rostral region very weakly developed: rostrum insignificant, rostral groove tiny, without actual rostral sulcus. The entire carapace surface with fine dot-like dimples. “Inverse” species, right valve larger than left valve.
Holotype: Carapace, SMF Xe 5379.
Paratypes: Not deposited.
Dimensions: Holotype, length 0.69mm, height 0.45mm, width 0.33mm.
