Diagnosis: A smaller species of the genus Ilhasina n. g. with the following peculiarities: the carapace is elongated, slim and low. On each valve, at the anterior and posterior is a more or less strong swelling: the posterior one has a more elongated form mostly like a blunt spine; the anterior one is more roundly outlined.
Holotype: Carapace, SMF Xe 4656.
Paratypes: 3 carapaces, SMF Xe 4657 .
Dimensions: Holotype, length 0.79mm, height 0.38mm, width 0.34mm.
