Diagnosis: A subspecies of Cypridea (Sebastianites?) mataensis n. sp. with a broad, flat median sulcus, which extends down over the valve mid-line where it ends. The sulcus separates distinctly two swollen irregularly undulating valve halves. Only the undulating swollen areas of the valves have pits, they are absent from the remaining surface.
Holotype: Carapace, SMF Xe 4201.
Paratypes: 1 carapace, SMF Xe 4202 .
Dimensions: Holotype, length 1.12mm, height 0.78mm.
