Diagnosis: A Cypridea species which largely corresponds in lateral outline and fine sculpture to C. kegeli Wicher, but with a strong spine directed backwards, towards the posterior, below the carapace middle. Fine sculpture consists of coarse, rather irregular dimples, yet (in contrast to C. kegeli) distributed more over the whole carapace surface and not confined to the central field.
Holotype: Carapace, SMF Xe 4187.
Paratypes: 2 carapaces under SMF Xe 4188 .
Dimensions: Holotype, length 0.83mm, height 0.55mm.
