Notes: —The recognition of Cylindrolobus as a separate genus remains highly questionable and problematic, as well as its morphological and geographical limits. In a phylogenetic analysis by Ng et al. (2018), it is represented by eleven species distributed mostly in eastern Malesia. In total, the dataset comprised about 100 taxa belonging to Eria s.l., whereas the overall species number in Eria s.l. is estimated as ca. 370 (Chen et al. 2009), and about 80 of them are classified in Cylindrolobus under a narrow genus concept (Ya et al. 2023). It remains therefore important to investigate the phylogeny of Cylindrolobus at a broader species sampling, and in particular to include a comprehensive set of the species from mainland Asia. Until the additional phylogenetic data are obtained and the intergeneric borders within this difficult group are clarified, we prefer to accept the genus Eria in a broad sense (see also Ormerod 2014). Here we publish a new name in order to accommodate the recently described Cylindrolobus chienii in the genus Eria .
