Bombyx Concolor Christoph, 1893, syn. nov., D. Ent. Z. Iris 6: 88. TL: “Scharud” [sic], “Hyrcaniae”. Syntypes: males and female (ZISP).

Distribution (Map 22): Iranian endemic, in Semnan, Esfahan, Kerman and Bushehr provinces.

Bionomics. This rare species is known from only a few specimens. The bionomics are poorly known, and

most fresh material was collected just recently. Supposedly, eggs hibernate. Caterpillars of Lasiocampa herzi

were found by H. Christoph in May on Lycium barbatum (Solanaceae) .
