Tapajosa rubromarginata (Signoret 1855)

Diagnosis. Crown, pronotum and scutellum brownish, with small yellow spots irregularly arranged; forewings dark brown, with small yellowish spots arranged irregularly, and with reddish area along to costal margin; hindwing with vein R2+3 incomplete. Male: aedeagus symmetrical, with pair of dorsal processes, arc-shaped and pair of thin ventral processes.

Female terminalia. Abdominal sternite VII, in ventral view (Fig. 18), with lateral margins slightly convergent posteriorly, lateroposterior margins obtuse, and posterior margin nearly transversely rectilinear; surface with numerous scattered microsetae. Pygofer, in lateral view, moderately produced posteriorly; surface with scattered microsetae. First valvifers, in lateral view, ovoid; with small spiniform processes on ventral region. First ovipositor valvulae, in lateral view, slightly rectilinear; dorsal sculptured area formed by scale-like processes arranged in oblique lines; ventral sculptured area formed by scale-like processes arranged irregularly; apex acute (Fig. 38), with denticles on dorsal and ventral margins. Second valvulae, in lateral view, slightly rectilinear; dorsal margin of blade bearing 25 to 26 continuous teeth, each tooth subtriangular with posterior side longer, with denticles on anterior and posterior margins (Fig. 58); ducts extending toward teeth and toward apical blade portion; apex rounded (Fig. 78), with denticles on dorsal and ventral margins; preapical ventral prominence conspicuous. Gonoplacs, in lateral view, with small spiniform processes on ventral margin; apex rounded.
