Molomea cincta (Signoret 1854)

Diagnosis. Posterior region of pronotum with a broad yellow transverse band. Male: subgenital plates reach onethird of the length of pygofer; aedeagus without apical processes.

Female terminalia. Abdominal sternite VII, in ventral view (Fig. 8), with lateral margins slightly convergent posteriorly, lateroposterior margins broadly rounded, and posterior margin with shallow median concavity (Mshaped), bearing small triangular projection medially; surface with scattered microsetae. Pygofer, in lateral view, slightly produced posteriorly; surface with scattered microsetae, and a few macrosetae on posteroventral region of disc. First valvifers, in lateral view, longer than tall; with small spiniform processes on ventral region. First ovipositor valvulae, in lateral view, slightly rectilinear beyond basal curvature and then narrowing gradually toward apex; dorsal and ventral sculptured areas formed by scale-like processes arranged in oblique lines; apex acute (Fig. 28), with denticles on dorsal and ventral margins. Second valvulae, in lateral view, rectilinear; dorsal margin of blade bearing 32 to 34 noncontiguous teeth, each tooth subrectangular, with denticles along entire dorsal margin (Fig. 48); ducts extending toward teeth and toward apical blade portion; apex rounded (Fig. 68), with denticles on dorsal and ventral margins; preapical ventral prominence conspicuous. Gonoplacs, in lateral view, with small spiniform processes on ventral margin; apex rounded.

Distribution. Brazil (Young 1968), Bolivia, Paraguay (Takiya 2008) and Argentina (Gravena et al. 1998): Formosa (Paradell et al. 2012).
