Diestostemma ptolyca Distant 1908
Diagnosis. Coloration of crown, pronotum and scutellum ocher; pronotum dotted, without tubercles; forewings whitish, with dark line located between claval suture and radial vein, on basal part of wing. Male: aedeagus with pair of short sharp basal processes; paraphyses paired and long in base of aedeagus.
Female terminalia. Abdominal sternite VII, in ventral view (Fig. 5), with lateral margins slightly convergent posteriorly, lateroposterior margins broadly rounded, and posterior margin with conspicuous median lobe; surface with scattered microsetae. Pygofer, in lateral view, slightly produced posteriorly; surface with scattered microsetae. First valvifers, in lateral view, longer than tall; with small spiniform processes on ventral region. First ovipositor valvulae, in lateral view, slightly broadened beyond basal curvature and then narrowing gradually toward apex; dorsal sculptured area formed by scale-like processes arranged in oblique lines; ventral sculptured area formed by scale-like irregular processes; apex acute (Fig. 25), with denticles on dorsal margin. Second valvulae, in lateral view, broadened beyond basal curvature and then narrowing gradually toward apex; dorsal margin of blade bearing 78 to 84 continuous teeth, each tooth subtriangular, with denticles on anterior and posterior margins (Fig. 45); some ducts extending toward base of teeth and toward apical blade portion; apex narrowly truncate, with denticles along entire margin (Fig. 65); without preapical ventral prominence. Gonoplacs, in lateral view, with scattered microsetae on ventral margin and a few strong setae on apex; apex rounded.
