Dechacona missionum (Berg 1879)

Diagnosis. General coloration brownish-gray, disc of crown with tranverse fovea between ocelli and tranverse elevation bordering posterior margin; crown, pronotum, scutellum and forewings with pubescence. Male: subgenital plates separate throughout their length, each plate with internal basal process; aedeagus short, with pair of processes arising at base, each process finely hairy in apical half.

Female terminalia. Abdominal sternite VII, in ventral view (Fig. 4), with lateral margins slightly convergent posteriorly, lateroposterior margins broadly rounded, and posterior margin deeply emarginate medially; surface with numerous scattered microsetae. Pygofer, in lateral view, slightly produced posteriorly; surface with scattered microsetae, mainly concentrated along ventral region and posterior two-thirds of disc. First valvifers, in lateral view, longer than tall; with small spiniform processes and a few setae on ventral region. First ovipositor valvulae, in lateral view, slightly rectilinear beyond basal curvature; dorsal sculptured area formed by scale-like processes arranged in oblique lines; ventral sculptured area formed by scale-like processes arranged irregularly; apex acute (Fig. 24) with denticles on dorsal and ventral margins. Second valvulae, in lateral view, slightly broadened beyond basal curvature; dorsal margin of blade bearing 21 to 23 continuous teeth, each tooth subrectangular, with denticles on anterior and dorsal margins (Fig. 44); ducts extending toward teeth and toward apical blade portion; apex rounded (Fig. 64) with denticles on dorsal and ventral margins; preapical ventral prominence conspicuous. Gonoplacs, in lateral view, with small spiniform processes along ventral margin; apex rounded.
