Comments. The male of L. fortunatus can be readily separated from all congeners by denser setae at the posterolateral margins of pronotum and the anterolateral margins of elytra, as well as by apically broadened antennomere 9, which is massively impressed on the lateral surface. The female, which was previously unknown, lacks these dense setae on pronotum and elytra. This species was originally described from Guangxi, southern China, and is here reported from northern Vietnam. The populations from China and Vietnam differ only slightly in the shape of the apex of the median lobe and the position of the endophallic sclerites of aedeagus.

Distribution. China: Guangxi; Vietnam: Vĩnh Phúc (Y I N & L I 2013 a; this paper). First country record for Vietnam.
