Type locality. China, Hainan, Baisha County,Yuanmeng, near Yinggezui Station, N19°03′10″, E109°33’ 55, 660 m.

Additional material examined (1 specimen). LAOS: HOUAPHANH: 1 ♂, ‘LAOS-NE, Hua Phan prov., Ban Saluei, Phu Phan Mt., 20°15′N, 104°02′E, 1500-2000 m, 26. iv.-11.v. 2001, J. Bezděk leg’ (NMPC) .

Comments. This species belongs to the P. tianmuensis species group and differs from related species primarily in the relatively elongate median lobe of aedeagus. The single male from Laos is morphologically largely identical to those of Hainan, even the positions of the two endophalic sclerites are almost the same.
