Distribution: Worldwide except Alaska and the colder northern and southern extremes.

Egyptian localities: Coastal Strip: Alexandria . Fayoum:?. Lower Nile Valley & Delta : Cairo, Mansoura. Upper Nile Valley: Assiout (Bächli et al. 1982).
