Remarks. The species was only mentioned from Mexico in the catalogue by Carlson (1979) with no details on its distribution in Mexico.
Material examined. Jalisco: 1 ♀ (EMEC) Biological Station Chamela, at lights, 23–31.VII.1990, coll. Chemsak, UC Berkeley EMEC 735335.
Distribution. USA (many localities), Mexico (* Jalisco).
Biology. Reared from species of Lepidoptera genera Astala Davis, Cryptothelea Duncan & Westwood, Oiketicus Guilding and Thyridopteryx Stephens (Psychidae), Grapholita Treitschke (Tortricidae) and Orgyia Ochsenheimer (Erebidae) . Also recorded as hyperparasitoid in the ichneumonid genera Iseropus Förster and Itoplectis Förster ( Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae).
