Type: Based on Solanum vacciniifolium Dunal.

Distribution. Endemic to the West Indies, found on Cuba, Jamaica and the Cayman Islands, in coastal woodlands on calcareous soils.

Representative specimen. Cuba, Cienfuegos, Webster & al. 51 (A).
