Regional distribution. Radix zazurnensis waS found in Some SampleS collected in the KhoVd RiVer baSin, in the Ulaagchy Khar Nuur lake Situated in ZaVkhan Aimag (LIN collection), and in the Nariyn-Gol RiVer (collection of ZhaltSanoVa). SitnikoVa et al. (2006) included it into their liSt of molluSkS of the HöVSgöl Lake.

Extra-limital distribution. The type locality of thiS SpecieS—Snezhnoye Lake—iS Situated in Buryatia, cloSe to the RuSSian-Mongolian border. R. zazurnensis iS widely diStributed in Siberia and the RuSSian Far EaSt (VinarSki & Kantor 2016).

Morphology. Conchologically, R. zazurnensis much reSembleS R. lagotis and may repreSent a junior Synonym of the latter.
