Regional distribution. ThiS SpecieS waS mentioned for Mongolia (HöVSgöl Lake) by SitnikoVa et al. (2006). We identified G. terekholicus in SampleS from three large lakeS of WeStern Mongolia—Dorgon, Khar, and Nogoon. In all three caSeS only empty ShellS were aVailable that makeS our identification proViSional.
Extra-limital distribution. The type locality of G. terekholicus iS the Tere-Khol’ Lake, Situated in TuVa Republic near the RuSSian-Mongolian border (ProzoroVa & StarobogatoV 1997).
Morphology. Conchologically, G. terekholicus reSembleS G. chinensis but haS a little higher number (about 20) of the proState diVerticleS (SitnikoVa et al. 2006), whereaS in the latter SpecieS thiS number lieS between 12 and 17 (Appleton & Miranda 2015).
