Genus Gueriniella (Fabricius)

Gueriniella is a Palaearctic genus containing two species, one of which occurs in North Africa (García Morales et al. 2016). Gueriniella serratulae (Fig. 11) occurs in Algeria on host plants belonging to 33 genera in 13 families (García Morales et al. 2016). In the past in southern France, the scale was sufficiently damaging to justify biological control using Novius cardinalis (Mulsant) ( Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) (Balachowsky 1932).
