Agrilus pubornatus sp. nov. (Fig. 14)
Type material. Holotype ♀, EJCB: “N Viet Nam (Tonkin) pr. Houang Lien Son, SA PA [22°21'N, 103°52'E] 11 15. V. 1990, Vít Kubán leg.”.
Description. 7.9 mm long (holotype). Head and pronotum carmine, elytra bluishgreen, ventral side black. Pronotum strongly convex, sides almost subparallel; medial impressions deep, lateral impressions very narrow; pronotal disk with lateral, prebasal parts raised, similarly as those at A. plasoni plasoni Obenberger; prehumerus long and strongly arcuate, but not reaching pronotal margins. Elytral disk densely, ornamentally, white pubescent; apices sharply projecting as those at A. plasoni plasoni Obenberger. Mentonniere robust, deeply arcuately emarginate; prosternum feeble convex (LV); prosternal process flat, rather wide, subparallel between coxae, moderately narrowing to tip. Male unknown.
This species is at first glance most similar to A. plasoni plasoni Obenberger, but differs from it by subparallel pronotal sides; strongly convex pronotal disk; longer and arcuate prehumerus and more intricate elytral pubescence.
Etymology. Named for the ornamental pubescence of the elytra.
