Remarks. Staudingeria psammicola was described from five males and three females collected in Uburchangai aimak and South Gobi aimak in Mongolia. Roesler (1970: 101) compared A. psammicola with A. deserticola (Staudinger, 1870) but not with A. leucocephala (Staudinger, 1879) . Our study of the holotype and two paratypes (male and female) of A. psammicola justified their conspecificity with A. leucocephala . The type material of the latter and the differences between A. leucocephala and A. deserticola were recently discussed (Bidzilya et al. 2019). Hence, the following synonymy is proposed: Ancylosis psammicola (Roesler, 1970) syn. nov. of Ancylosis leucocephala (Staudinger, 1879) .

Distribution. Russia (Lower Volga and S Urals), Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Mongolia, W China (Roesler 1973; Sinev et al. 2019). The records from Romania (Roesler 1973; Speidel 1996; Plant & Jakšić 2018) should most likely be referred either to A. deserticola or to A. larissae Bidzilya, Budashkin & Yepishin, 2019 .
