Phlebonotus anomalus (Saussure, 1863)

Material. SOUTH INDIA, state Tamil Nadu, Coimbatore, September 1960, coll. P.S. Nathan— 1 female (MMUM).
Description. The studied female is similar to that of T. porcellana, but can readily be distinguished from it by the following characters: the pronotum semicircular (Fig. 16 I); the tegmina less sclerotized, the venation wellmarked, with whitish strips along veins (Fig. 16 I); the wings strongly reduced.
Head slightly longer than wide (Fig. 16 H); facial part with weak impression between antennal sockets; ocellar spots smaller, as compared to male of P. pallens; distance between eyes 1.3 times of the eye length; distance between antennal sockets about 2.1 times of the scape length (0.9 mm); approximate length ratio of 3rd–5th segments of maxillary palps 1.1: 1: 1.3. Anterior margin of fore femur armed according to the type B, with 3 spines, including 1 apical one. Anal plate less protruded caudally and cerci shorter (Fig. 13 K), as compared with T. porcellana . Genital plate with caudal margin widely rounded (Fig. 13 L). Structures of ovipositor less sclerotized (Fig. 15 E), as compared with T. porcellana . Basivalvulae in shape of two asymmetrical sclerites, more elongated (Fig. 15 E, bsv.), as compared with T. porcellana . Apical parts of vestibular sclerite forked (Fig. 15 E, vs.).
