Diagnosis (Ionescu 1955; Sendra et al. 2012)
Body length 5.5–7.0 mm; epicuticle with microdenticles; short, smooth clothing setae; antennae with 27–31 antennomeres; sensillum of third antennomere in dorsal position; middle-sized, robust and poorly barbed notal macrosetae; lp mesonotal longer than lp metanotal; slightly thin pine cone notal marginal setae; one trochanteral sensillum; 1+1 la, 1+1 lp macrosetae on urotergites VI–VII, 3+3 lp on VIII and 5+5 lp on IX abdominal segment.

Habitat and distribution
Soil-dwelling species found in several localities from southern Carpathians Mountains (Ionescu 1955; Sendra et al. 2012).
