Diagnosis (Ramellini 1998)

Body length 3.0– 3.8 mm; epicuticle with microdenticles; short smooth or with a few thin apical barbs clothing setae; antennae with 22–25 antennomeres; sensillum of third antennomere in dorsal position; 1+1 ma, 1+1 lp macrosetae on mesonotum, 1+1 ma on metanotum; short (ma, la) and long (lp) barbed notal macrosetae; thin pine cone shape marginal setae; one trochanteral sensillum; 1+1 lp macrosetae on VII urotergite, 3+3 lp on VIII urotergite and 5+5 lp on IX abdominal segment.

Habitat and distribution

Soil-dwelling species collected in two localities in Abruzzo National Park, Lazio, Italy (Ramellini 1998).
