Podocampa aff. asturiana II Sendra, Salgado & Monedero, 2003
Differential diagnosis from P. asturiana asturiana
Two variable features have been observed in specimens from nine caves in the Galician massif: several specimens show thick clothing setae on VIII urotergite and IX and X abdominal segments and in others there are 1+1 lp macrosetae on IV urotergite. These two differential characters occur together in some specimens.
Habitat and distribution
Cave-dwelling species known from many caves in the North of the Iberian Peninsula, from Galicia to the Basque country throughout the Cantabrian Mountains (Sendra et al. 2003). Podocampa asturiana riberiensis is restricted to caves throughout the Asturian Central Basin (Sendra et al. 2003).
