Diagnosis (Wygodzinsky 1944a; Sendra 1990a)

Body length 4.0 mm; epicuticle with microdenticles; short clothing setae, smooth or with 1–2 distal barbs; antennae with 21 antennomeres; sensillum of third antennomere in ventral position; short ma and la and long barbed lp notal macrosetae all poorly barbed with a few barbs along distal half; thin pine cone marginal setae; 1+1 lp macrosetae on V–VII urotergites, 3+3 lp on VIII urotergite, 5+5 lp on IX abdominal segment; cerci with 11 articles covered in long, thin macrosetae with 1–2 thin barbs or smooth and a few shorter smooth setae.

Habitat and distribution

Rare soil-dwelling species found only in three localities in the Iberian Peninsula (Wygodzinsky 1944a; Condé 1951d; Sendra & Moreno 2006).
