Caloapenesia nadaili Gobbi & Azevedo, sp. nov.

Description. MALE. Body length 5.2 mm. LFW 4.3 mm. Color. Head, clypeus and mesosoma black; mandible, antennae and metasoma dark castaneous; legs light castaneous; wings brownish.
Head (Fig. 12). Mandible with five apical teeth; uppermost convex, others angulate; large, subequal in length. Median clypeal lobe subrectangular; apical margin strongly medially ventrad, without median tooth conspicuous; carina high, straight in profile. Antennal torulus slightly prominent. Flagellomeres median-sized; four first antennomeres in ratio about 24:5:10:9; pedicel short, 1.62 × as long as wide; flagellomere I 2.30 × as long as wide; flagellar pubescence erect, about half of diameter of flagellomeres. Frons polished; densely punctate. WH 1.0 × LH. WF 0.74 × WH. WF 1.76 × HE. Eye small, very salient; pilosity sparse. Ocellus small. DAO 0.15 × WF; frontal angle of ocellar triangle acute. WOT 2.80 × DAO. OOL 1.0 × WOT. Distance of posterior ocellus to vertex crest 1.80 × DAO. VOL 1.0 × HE. Temple parallel. Vertex slightly convex. Occipital carina complete, visible in dorsal view.
Mesosoma (Fig. 33). Pronotal disc and mesonotum polished; densely punctate. Pronotal collar long. Pronotal declivity high. Pronotal disc 0.32 × as long as wide. Notauli strongly conspicuous; complete; convergent. Parapsidal furrow complete. Scutellar furrow long, slender, scrobiculate, posterior margin straight. Median region of scutellum not punctate. Median region of metanotum very short, wide. Inner foveae of metanotal furrow not delimited. Propodeal disc 1.12 × as long as wide; 0.50 × as high as long; basal triangle inconspicuous, finely rugulose, ototherwise disc strigulate; median carina absent; paramedian carina absent; lateral carina present, inconspicuous; sublateral carina absent; transversal carina absent; declivity medially strigulate, laterally punctate; side of propodeum polished. Mesopleuron polished; callus present; fovea absent; mesopleural pit present. Metacarpus 0.50 × radial vein; discoidal vein strongly pigmented, not interstitial with median; first recurrent slightly pigmented; subdiscoidal vein slightly pigmented.
Metasoma. Hypopygium (Fig. 53) 1.42 × as long as wide; posterior margin straight with a median lobe; median lobe convex, wide; lateral margin straight; anterior pigmented line ill-defined, slender; median stalk long; lateral stalk present, rectangular, conspicuous. Genitalia (Figs 83–84): aedeagus uniformly wide; apical margin of ventral paramere convex; dorsal paramere as wide as ventral one, glabrous; basivolsella strongly excavated; genital ring long.

Distribution. Thailand (Chiang Mai).
Variation. Median clypeal lobe with median tooth slightly conspicuous. Hypopigial lateral lobe not conspicuous; specimens from Huai Nam presents ventral corner of occipital carina protuberant, hypopigial median lobe wide.
Remarks. Caloapenesia nadaili sp. nov. resembles C. paruwa sp. nov. by presents head elongate, ocellus and eye small; aedeagus uniformly wide. But C. nadaili sp. nov. presents head bulging, uppermost tooth of mandible angulate; aedeagus slightly wider than C. paruwa sp. nov.; hypopigial median lobe wide.
