Genus Pseudepitettix Zheng, 1995
Type species: Pseudepitettix yunnanensis Zheng, 1995, by original designation.
Composition. Genus Pseudepitettix consists of five species distributed in China: P. yunnanensis Zheng, 1995, P. guangxiensis Zheng et Jiang, 1994, P. guibeiensis Zheng et Jiang, 1995, P. nigritibis Zheng et Jiang, 2000 and P. linaoshanensis Liang et Jiang, 2004 (Zheng, 1995; Zheng & Jiang, 1994; Zheng & Jiang, 2000; Liang & Jiang, 2004).
Notes. It should be stressed that the description and type fixation of Pseudepitettix was published by Zheng (1995) a year after the description of P. guangxiensis Zheng et Jiang, 1994 . The diagnosis of this genus, as well as a key to species, the descriptions and illustrations of all included species were given by Zheng (2005). Pseudepitettix is closely related to Epitettix, but easy distinguished by the broad frontal ridge, the width of which near the base of antennae is 2.3–2.5 times more than width of 1st antennal segment (Fig. 16), while in Epitettix the width of this ridge only 1.5–1.8 times more than width of 1st antennal segment (Fig. 3).
