Diagnosis. Adult (Fig. 7) wingspan 9.0̄ 9.5 mm. The male genitalia of S. quercivora (Fig. 15) are characterized by the tegumen narrowly rounded at the top, the costa of the valva slightly concave, and the neck of the valva about 2/3 the width of the valva at the base. Strophedra quercivora is similar to S. dicastica (Meyrick, 1922) with the tegumen bearing a pair of long ovate flaps on its lateral wall and with a semicircular cucullus in the male genitalia. However, in S. quercivora the ventro-basal corner of the cucullus is obtusely angled, whereas it is smooth in S. dicastica (Clarke 1958: pl. 280, fig. 1a). Superficially, S. quercivora can be distinguished from S. dicastica by the forewing lacking a leaden streak from below the seventh pair of strigulae, which is present in S. dicastica .

Hosts. Fagaceae: Quercus griffithi, Millettia japonica (Komai 1999) . Distribution. China (Zhejiang), India, Japan.

Notes. This species is recorded for the first time from China.
